With two kids studying in a school where they encourage children to participitate in lots of events – aiming at doing away the stage fright from the tender age of 4, I have been fortunate to see every year two annual day celebrations of the school ( primary and senior departments separately)
On these occasions I have generally seen parents excited, infact too excited about their child’s performance, at times coming near to stage to click pics of their child. I certainly don’t vouch this action for 2 reasons — the school ensures that their cameraman captures each n every child and they simply forget when they come near the stage to steal a glance at their child ,they disturb the other children (who start searching for their parents )
Also, I think parents naturally proud of their children, and eagerly wait for his/her turn to come, but they should also try to look beyond their own son/daughter. If they open their heart and look at the great efforts by each and every participant, I am sure they will be full of joy, wonder, and feel the magic.
