Whoever said that life is a roller coaster …… said it so rightly….!!!!!!! U never know what life has in store for u in future …Infact even for the next day … also as what we have done in the past affects are future … what we do today shapes our tomorrow….. and there is nothing so philosophical about it …. It can be explained in simple terms …. If I have a party at home and I start with its preparations much ahead … I will have a calm normal day even with a lot to do …. Again if I leave all the work for the last moment … the day sure will be full of panic …running, etc. so it’s my today that can make my tomorrow a calm one or full of nerves …simple no…???
Being born and bought up in a metropolitan city may be differs from the upbringing of that of small town … I don’t know ….. is it true in all sense …??? My verdict will differs from the majority . My personal experience says that every city / town … small/ big has its own character …. Culture…thought process… which shapes you and not the size of the city. Kolkata — the city of joy , one of the four metropolitan cities of India …. but if u ask me the people there are least effected by the feeling of living in a big city. Obviously the people have the opportunity to make use of the infrastructural facilities that a capital city offers, but what matters is the heart of the people. The life of the people still depicts the old times …. Where nobody is in a hurry, u have time for your neighbour’s problems , where the modernization has not taken up the simplicity of the people.
I was lucky to be part of Kolkata. Living in Kolkata is one of a experience. One has to stay there and not just visit to understand …. Feel what is Kolkata. But actually my point is after living in a metropolitan city does settling in a small town make a lot of difference …. ‘NO” if the city was Kolkata. After marriage my home town became Faridabad fake rolex, quite a lot of people were worried as to how did I agree for Faridabad after staying all my life in Kolkata. A believer of fate …. I never give this issue a thought. I don’t know in what frame of my mind was I sixteen years ago when I got married , but today I can stand and vouch for the fact that ‘it hardly makes a difference whether u were brought up in a big or small city…. The size hardly matters… what matters in the end apart from your family’s upbringing is your city’s culture … the way city has brought u up…. Every city , town, village , country has its own values, tradition ,essence which becomes a inherent part of u wherever u live. And if lived in Kolkata can live anywhere.
THANK YOU KOLKATA — MY CITY OF JOY….. EVERYBODY’S CITY OF JOY
